Step 1: Go to God in Prayer

"Any of you who lacks wisdom must ask God, who gives to all generously and without scolding; it will be given. But the prayer must be made with faith, and no trace of doubt, because a person who has doubts is like waves thrown up in the sea by the buffeting of the wind." - James 1, 5-6.

I felt purposeless so the first thing that come to my mind was asking God for wisdom and direction and I found the beautiful verse that reminded  me that I should pray with faith without any trace of doubt, in other words, surrender my entire life to God. After all life is not just about finding yourself, it's about discovering who God created you to be, and that is exactly what I need.

In order to made a prayer with faith, and no trace of doubt, I need to firmly believe and trust that God wants to give me a purpose. He desires I have a joyful, enthusiastic, and purposeful life. I just need to ask Him to give it to me. "Yes, I know what plans I have in mind for you, declares the Lord, plans for peace, not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. When you call to me and pray to meI shall listen to you. When you search for me, you will find me; when you search wholeheartedly for me, I shall let you find me." - Jeremiah 29, 11-14.

Dear Lord, I know that you have a plan for my life.
Today I surrender my entire life to You,
because I know that seeking after You is the only way to find a satisfying purpose.
I need Your grace and wisdom to find clarity
about the way of life that will granting me the joy of your presence
and the pleasures of living with You forever.
Help me long to serve You above myself, even above others.
Help me to walk daily in reliance of You.
Amen.
Step 2: Dig into God's Word

God Works While We Wait

"W ait for the Lord, be strong and let your heart take courage; yes, wait for the Lord. " - Psalm 27, 14 Being honest, we all hate to wait. That is because most of us consider waiting like wasting time. But it's not so with our God, we just need to remember that good things are worth waiting and God only wants good things for us: " If you, then, evil as you are, know how to give your children what is good, how much more will your Father in heaven give good things to those who ask him! " - Matthew 7, 11. God uses waiting to change us, He wants us to learn how to follow Him and put down all our doubts, worries and fear. While we wait we need to relinquish the control to Him in order to experience His love and peace, and remember that even when we are unable to see what He is doing, God is always working on the events to accomplish His purposes for our lives. We only need to trust in His unfailing love for us, knowing that waiting is never wasted when we...

Shines In The Spot God Has Placed You

"You are light for the world. A city built on a hill-top cannot be hidden" - Matthew 5, 14 Being a light sounds great right? but what if shining illuminates our vulnerabilities and insecurities?  the true is that trying to shine on our own can be frustrating and exhausting. But when we remain closely connected to God, His Light pours forth though us in powerful and brilliant ways. If we believe in Jesus Christ, we are never truly alone, because His Light is living inside us. Let God shines through you by:  Glorifying Him : Remember your aim is to praise God, not man. " Great is the Lord, worthy of all praise, more awesome that any of the gods. Nothingness, all the gods of the nations. The Lord it was who made the heavens, in His presence are splendour and majesty, in his sanctuary strength and joy. " - 1 Chronicles 16, 25-27. Following His will : Trust that God will lead you in his ways. " T each me, Lord, your ways, that I may rely on your faithfulne...

Prayer Replaces Worry

"N ever worry about anything; but tell God all your desires of every kind in prayer and petition shot through with gratitude, and the peace of God which is beyond our understanding will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. " - Philippians 4:6-7 I have been an over-thinker almost all my life, I think too much and thinking to much often leads me to being worried. And worry is damaging, it consumes our mind it divides our attention, it decreases our productivity and it actually negatively impacts our health. If you are an over-thinker like me, prayer is the most helpful thing you can do.  Over thinking can be detrimental to our performance, and lead to anxiety and depression. During the times I struggle the most a beautiful, a friend shared with me a beautiful Novena of Surrender to the Will of God that I would like to share with you today.  Novena of Surrender to the Will of God (Author: Father Don Dolindo Ruotolo 1882-1970) Day 1:...
