Step 1: Go to God in Prayer

"Any of you who lacks wisdom must ask God, who gives to all generously and without scolding; it will be given. But the prayer must be made with faith, and no trace of doubt, because a person who has doubts is like waves thrown up in the sea by the buffeting of the wind." - James 1, 5-6.

I felt purposeless so the first thing that come to my mind was asking God for wisdom and direction and I found the beautiful verse that reminded  me that I should pray with faith without any trace of doubt, in other words, surrender my entire life to God. After all life is not just about finding yourself, it's about discovering who God created you to be, and that is exactly what I need.

In order to made a prayer with faith, and no trace of doubt, I need to firmly believe and trust that God wants to give me a purpose. He desires I have a joyful, enthusiastic, and purposeful life. I just need to ask Him to give it to me. "Yes, I know what plans I have in mind for you, declares the Lord, plans for peace, not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. When you call to me and pray to meI shall listen to you. When you search for me, you will find me; when you search wholeheartedly for me, I shall let you find me." - Jeremiah 29, 11-14.

Dear Lord, I know that you have a plan for my life.
Today I surrender my entire life to You,
because I know that seeking after You is the only way to find a satisfying purpose.
I need Your grace and wisdom to find clarity
about the way of life that will granting me the joy of your presence
and the pleasures of living with You forever.
Help me long to serve You above myself, even above others.
Help me to walk daily in reliance of You.
Amen.
Step 2: Dig into God's Word

Be Satisfied

"Delight yourself in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart . " - PSalm 37:4. I was single for a long time, I remember how much I struggled at that time, because my soul was not satisfied, something was missing, after years and years of praying, the Lord finally gave me an amazing husband the sweetest and kindest man. But before that happened God helped me to be satisfied, fulfilled and content by being loved only by Him.  Today I found a beautiful prayer by St. Anthony of Padua, and I could not avoid to share it.  "Everyone longs to give themselves completely to someone, To have a deep soul relationship with another, To be loved thoroughly and exclusively. But to a Christian, God says, "No, not until you are satisfied, Fulfilled and content with being loved by Me alone, With giving yourself totally and unreservedly to Me. With having an intensely personal and unique relationship with Me alone. Discovering that only in Me is your satisfaction to b...

Increase my Thankfulness

"Give thanks in all circumstances; this is the will of God for you in Christ Jesus." - 1 Thessalonians 5, 18. Dear Lord, please increase my thankfulness. Help me to open my heart to You so I could seek You in the midst of my circumstances. Open my eyes to see the signs of Your unseen presence in my life. Allow me to find You in myriad tiny details  as well as in the big picture of my life.  Grant me to notice all my blessings - small and large -  and to always thank You for them.  Thank You so much for Your unfailing Love.  Amen.

God Works While We Wait

"W ait for the Lord, be strong and let your heart take courage; yes, wait for the Lord. " - Psalm 27, 14 Being honest, we all hate to wait. That is because most of us consider waiting like wasting time. But it's not so with our God, we just need to remember that good things are worth waiting and God only wants good things for us: " If you, then, evil as you are, know how to give your children what is good, how much more will your Father in heaven give good things to those who ask him! " - Matthew 7, 11. God uses waiting to change us, He wants us to learn how to follow Him and put down all our doubts, worries and fear. While we wait we need to relinquish the control to Him in order to experience His love and peace, and remember that even when we are unable to see what He is doing, God is always working on the events to accomplish His purposes for our lives. We only need to trust in His unfailing love for us, knowing that waiting is never wasted when we...
