Shines In The Spot God Has Placed You

"You are light for the world. A city built on a hill-top cannot be hidden" - Matthew 5, 14

Being a light sounds great right? but what if shining illuminates our vulnerabilities and insecurities?  the true is that trying to shine on our own can be frustrating and exhausting. But when we remain closely connected to God, His Light pours forth though us in powerful and brilliant ways. If we believe in Jesus Christ, we are never truly alone, because His Light is living inside us.
Let God shines through you by:
  • Glorifying Him: Remember your aim is to praise God, not man. "Great is the Lord, worthy of all praise, more awesome that any of the gods. Nothingness, all the gods of the nations. The Lord it was who made the heavens, in His presence are splendour and majesty, in his sanctuary strength and joy." - 1 Chronicles 16, 25-27.
  • Following His will: Trust that God will lead you in his ways. "Teach me, Lord, your ways, that I may rely on your faithfulness; let my heart's one aim be to fear your name." Psalms 86, 11.
  • Speaking truth: Speak in ways that are right, true, honorable and trustworthy. Speak the truth balanced with love. "If we live by the truth and in love, we shall grow completely into Christ, who is the head" - Ephesians 4, 15.
  • Praying constantly: Throughout the Scriptures, God has revealed what pleases Him. "Always be joyful; pray constantly; and for all the things give thanks; this is the will of God for you in Christ Jesus." - 1 Thessalonians 5, 16-18.
Dear Lord, I welcome You into every part of  my heart.
Light up the darkness and restore my soul.
Help me to always put You first
in everything I say and do.
So that Your light will shine through me.

Amen.

Be Satisfied

"Delight yourself in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart . " - PSalm 37:4. I was single for a long time, I remember how much I struggled at that time, because my soul was not satisfied, something was missing, after years and years of praying, the Lord finally gave me an amazing husband the sweetest and kindest man. But before that happened God helped me to be satisfied, fulfilled and content by being loved only by Him.  Today I found a beautiful prayer by St. Anthony of Padua, and I could not avoid to share it.  "Everyone longs to give themselves completely to someone, To have a deep soul relationship with another, To be loved thoroughly and exclusively. But to a Christian, God says, "No, not until you are satisfied, Fulfilled and content with being loved by Me alone, With giving yourself totally and unreservedly to Me. With having an intensely personal and unique relationship with Me alone. Discovering that only in Me is your satisfaction to b...

Increase my Thankfulness

"Give thanks in all circumstances; this is the will of God for you in Christ Jesus." - 1 Thessalonians 5, 18. Dear Lord, please increase my thankfulness. Help me to open my heart to You so I could seek You in the midst of my circumstances. Open my eyes to see the signs of Your unseen presence in my life. Allow me to find You in myriad tiny details  as well as in the big picture of my life.  Grant me to notice all my blessings - small and large -  and to always thank You for them.  Thank You so much for Your unfailing Love.  Amen.

God Works While We Wait

"W ait for the Lord, be strong and let your heart take courage; yes, wait for the Lord. " - Psalm 27, 14 Being honest, we all hate to wait. That is because most of us consider waiting like wasting time. But it's not so with our God, we just need to remember that good things are worth waiting and God only wants good things for us: " If you, then, evil as you are, know how to give your children what is good, how much more will your Father in heaven give good things to those who ask him! " - Matthew 7, 11. God uses waiting to change us, He wants us to learn how to follow Him and put down all our doubts, worries and fear. While we wait we need to relinquish the control to Him in order to experience His love and peace, and remember that even when we are unable to see what He is doing, God is always working on the events to accomplish His purposes for our lives. We only need to trust in His unfailing love for us, knowing that waiting is never wasted when we...
