When Your World is Turned Upside Down

"None of the trials which have come upon you is more than a human can stand" -1 Corinthians 10, 13a Sometimes all what we thought would be permanent just vanish, suddenly we find out that our "perfect world" is turned upside down. I was recently experienced one of that moments and then I received a text from an old best friend: "You can trust that God will not let you be put to the test beyond your strength, but with any trial will also provide a way out by enabling you to put up with it"- 1 Corinthians 10, 13b.  Maybe my friend did not even know how much I needed that words, I just think that it was God who actually sent that message as a reminder to keep trusting Him, I was experiencing a lot of pain and sadness the last days because almost my entire life was turned upside down and that morning I felt overwhelmed and then just two words bring me the peace I so desperately need: TRUST GOD.  Dear God,  I don't have to fully understand

Increase my Thankfulness

"Give thanks in all circumstances; this is the will of God for you in Christ Jesus." - 1 Thessalonians 5, 18. Dear Lord, please increase my thankfulness. Help me to open my heart to You so I could seek You in the midst of my circumstances. Open my eyes to see the signs of Your unseen presence in my life. Allow me to find You in myriad tiny details  as well as in the big picture of my life.  Grant me to notice all my blessings - small and large -  and to always thank You for them.  Thank You so much for Your unfailing Love.  Amen.

Repaired With Gold

"He heals the broken-hearted, and bandages their wounds" - Psalm 147, 3. I felt like if a piece of my heart was ripped from my chest leaving a big hole on it; like a wrecking ball has swooped in and destroyed all between us... the us that was now becoming just me again. All those long talks about our future together just vanished... I felt the deep and hurtful impact of his words ripping apart what I thought would be permanent. It was not just about losing him... it was about losing connection to all those dreams for tomorrow that now would never be. My heart was broken and it needed to be repaired. But how? I needed to choose the best method to repair it, a method that not only will heal my heart but also protect it of future rejections as well. I felt pain, and I needed to stop seeing pain as the enemy because the pain was just the indicator that brokenness exists. Numbing the pain never goes to the source of the real issue to make us healthier. Its like trying to

Shines In The Spot God Has Placed You

"You are light for the world. A city built on a hill-top cannot be hidden" - Matthew 5, 14 Being a light sounds great right? but what if shining illuminates our vulnerabilities and insecurities?  the true is that trying to shine on our own can be frustrating and exhausting. But when we remain closely connected to God, His Light pours forth though us in powerful and brilliant ways. If we believe in Jesus Christ, we are never truly alone, because His Light is living inside us. Let God shines through you by:  Glorifying Him : Remember your aim is to praise God, not man. " Great is the Lord, worthy of all praise, more awesome that any of the gods. Nothingness, all the gods of the nations. The Lord it was who made the heavens, in His presence are splendour and majesty, in his sanctuary strength and joy. " - 1 Chronicles 16, 25-27. Following His will : Trust that God will lead you in his ways. " T each me, Lord, your ways, that I may rely on your faithfulne

Who Is Your Anchor?

"This is the Anchor our souls have... " - Hebrews 6, 19 According to the Cambridge Dictionary , an anchor is a heavy metal object attached to a boat by a rope or chain that, when dropped into the water and resting on the bottom, keeps the boat from moving. An anchor is also someone or something that gives support when needed.  Sometimes we have things, people or situations that play a role of anchors in our lives. The problem arises when we lose that anchors, and that is because when time goes all things of this world eventually reveal what incapable anchors they really are.  When our identity is tied to things of this world, we are in risk to become extremely insecure because those things are unpredictable and ever-changing. Every day we rise and fall with successes and failures. We feel treasured when complimented but tormented when criticized.  We live our lives in a constant despair to keep relationships that makes us feel valuable and loved, as well as pe

God's way

"T each me, Lord, your ways, that I may rely on your faithfulness; let my heart's one aim be to fear your name. " Psalms 86, 11. Choosing God's way is not an easy task, that is why we need to pray and ask God that He teach us how to choose only His way every day. Only God could help us to walk by His word and not by our feelings. Ask God today to keep your heart pure and undivided, to protect you from your own careless thoughts, words and actions. And keep you from being distracted by your wants, desires and thoughts about how things should be. God could help you to embrace everything what comes your way as an opportunity rather than a personal inconvenience.  Dear Lord, I love You with all my heart.  Please forgive me because sometimes my actions and reactions betray my love for You.  Please teach me to follow Your ways and  help me to recognize this new day  as an opportunity to walk closer with You. Amen.

God's Grace is Enough

"B ut He has answered me, 'My grace is enough for you: for power is at full stretch in weakness.' It is, then, about my weaknesses that I am happiest of all to boast, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me; " - 2 Corinthians 12, 9 There are times when the one thing we want is the one thing we never get. When we want something so deeply we usually pray and wait but we don't receive an answer, or at least no the answer that we expect it. What if God says no? What if our request is denied? When God says no to us is maybe because that thing that we want so deeply is not according God's plan for us and it is when we really need to trust Him more that ever: " Yes, I know what plans I have in mind for you, Yahweh declares, plans for peace, not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope " - Jeremiah 29, 11. When we don't receive exactly what we want, we could remember that: " A human heart makes the plans, Yahweh gives the

God Works While We Wait

"W ait for the Lord, be strong and let your heart take courage; yes, wait for the Lord. " - Psalm 27, 14 Being honest, we all hate to wait. That is because most of us consider waiting like wasting time. But it's not so with our God, we just need to remember that good things are worth waiting and God only wants good things for us: " If you, then, evil as you are, know how to give your children what is good, how much more will your Father in heaven give good things to those who ask him! " - Matthew 7, 11. God uses waiting to change us, He wants us to learn how to follow Him and put down all our doubts, worries and fear. While we wait we need to relinquish the control to Him in order to experience His love and peace, and remember that even when we are unable to see what He is doing, God is always working on the events to accomplish His purposes for our lives. We only need to trust in His unfailing love for us, knowing that waiting is never wasted when we

Why Should We Pray?

"O ur fearlessness towards Him consists in this, that if we ask anything in accordance with his will he hears us. And if we know that He listens to whatever we ask Him, we know that we already possess whatever we have asked of Him. " 1 John 5, 14-15. Praying is the way we could communicate with God, and it help us to bring us closer to Him. There is not something better than spend a one-on-one time with the our loved Father, who knows all our secrets and loves us no matter what. " He is close to all who call upon him, all who call on him from heart " - Psalms 145, 18. By praying we could have access to Divine help when we need it most. Every time we experience worries, anxieties and fear we could ask God's help having the certainty that He will always helps us. " Never worry about anything; but tell God all your desires of every kind in prayer and petition shot through gratitude, and the peace of god which is beyond our understanding will
